okay so i’m a teenager trying to losse some weight around my waistline and thighs. i weigh about 136.7. And i want some exerises that really work for these areas. I would like to know how long to do it and how many reps. And a few Do’s & Don’ts would be nice 🙂 and some exersises that really work.

If weight loss is your main goal, then cardio is the best type of exercise for you. Cardio exercises, in case you didn’t know, include: jogging, running, brisk walking, swimming, and bike riding. All of these exercises are good for weight loss. If I had to pick one as a recommendation to you, it would have to be running, simply because it’s easier to do, simpler, and more “accessible”. Most neighborhoods are close to fitness centers (some subdivisions even have their own gyms), and most fitness centers have treadmills that you can run on. You can even just jog outside. Of course, if it’s hot and humid outside, try exercising indoors, where it’s cool and air-conditioned. Always stay adequately hydrated when running.

Running will help you lose weight as long as you do it frequently enough. You need to run EVERY week. You won’t really see results if you run one or two days a week, and you certainly won’t see results if you skip weeks.

I used to be overweight myself (three years ago I weighed 175 pounds and my BMI was probably above the healthy range), but now I’m at a very healthy weight and BMI (last time I checked my BMI was between 21 and 22). I think running five days a week is what helped me lose weight. Now I weigh only 153 pounds, on average.

Of course, diet and exercise are important as well. Get enough rest at night, because sleep deprivation will cause you to eat and crave junk food a lot. And stay away from trans fat and saturated fat! Aim for fiber and protein, because those will help you feel fuller for longer.
